Community Engagement Manager – Volunteer Leadership Role

The Role

This role is responsible for building, nurturing, and sustaining an engaged community around our mission, programs, and initiatives.

You will move people from:

• Awareness → Engagement → Participation → Retention
• You are not just managing interactions. You are building a community that grows, stays, and advocates.
• This role operates at the intersection of marketing, programs, and community-building—driving participation, retention, and long-term engagement.

Qualifications

Required

• 2–4 years of experience in community engagement, marketing, or program coordination
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience engaging with diverse audiences

PREFERRED

• Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
• Experience managing online communities
• Experience supporting events or programs
• Experience in remote or distributed teams

Commitment

• 8–12 hours per week
• Flexible schedule (with responsiveness to community interactions)
• Participation in engagement activities and coordination required
• Fully remote
