Community Employment Program Specialist

About the role

The Community Employment Program Specialist (S) position is located at the WorkSource West Facility in Morganton, NC. This position provides curriculum-based training to individuals with disabilities, helping them obtain the skills needed for competitive employment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and teaching training programs to individuals with disabilities using established curriculums.
• Teaching appropriate work behaviors, including productivity and safety awareness, in a real work situation using hands-on skills training.
• Managing workstation set-up, workflow, and quality assurance processes.
• Providing orientation and supervision to clients participating in the training program.
• Documenting provision of services provided in accordance with the client's rehabilitation plan and agency policy.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge and/or experience helping others obtain employment.
• Knowledge and/or experience working with a team to achieve goals.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license required to drive state vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services or business field such as human resources, marketing, business administration, business management, healthcare management, or public administration from an appropriately accredited institution.
• Associate’s degree in a human services or business field (identified above) from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related work experience.
• High school or General Educational Development (GED) and four years of directly related work experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Knowledge and/or experience helping others obtain employment.
• Knowledge and/or experience working with a team to achieve goals.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $35,596 - $62,294, with a recruitment range of $35,596 - $52,000.

Schedule

This position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours.
