Community Education Manager (BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORD/REP)

Horizon Health Corporation is seeking a Community Education Manager for the Behavioral Health Program at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK. This unit is a 15-bed mental health program.

About the role

The Community Education Manager, in conjunction with the Program Director, is responsible for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive community education program. They coordinate the referral development/sales process, develop and maintain accurate community education information and account management systems, and coordinate the unit’s internal and external communications program. The role also functions as a preceptor to provide training and support to subordinate Community Liaisons as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with community-based providers, Horizon leadership, client hospital administrative staff, clinical staff, and unit leadership to develop and implement programs that promote unit behavioral health programs within designated areas/communities.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the services provided by the program, admission criteria, and patient characteristics, and effectively communicate this information to current and potential referral sources, including medical staff and hospital clinical department managers.
• Respond to all requests for general information about the unit’s treatment program and provide information on appropriate topics in response to common requests.
• Inform the Program Director, Vice President of Community Education, and Director of Operations of any adverse publicity.
• Develop, maintain, and continually update comprehensive marketing plans and mailing lists. Record and report progress to leadership on a routine basis.
• Promote and facilitate community relations opportunities within the designated area.
• Work with health centers, community-based organizations, insurers, and community coalitions to develop programs, events, and new initiatives that promote marketing of unit program objectives.
• Coordinate referral source surveys in compliance with company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required by this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 8-10 years of experience.
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Products.
• Previous Sales and Marketing Experience.
• Prior Experience in the Healthcare Industry.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to adjust schedule with short notice.
• Ability to prioritize.
• Personal vehicle and computer.
