Community Development Direct Support Professional

Overview

Spectrum Support, Inc. is a 501(c)(y3) non-profit agency dedicated to helping people with disabilities overcome challenges, fight stigmas, and live their lives as they choose.

Responsibilities

• Provide opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to participate in community events, employment, educational classes, or other activities of personal interest.
• Affirm the dignity of all people and treat them with respect regardless of their role in the organization.
• Ensure the health, safety, and medical needs of the individual(s) are met at all times.

Qualifications

• A valid Maryland Driver's License with no more than 2 points.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to use technology to document in an electronic database.
• Self-motivated, creative, and innovative in approach to providing supports that promote independence, choice, and self-determination.
• Ability to be a team player and respond to changes and/or crises in a calm and productive manner.
• Demonstrate ability in providing support in a respectful manner that meets the various needs of persons served.

Pay and Schedule

• $19.20 per hour
• Full-time Monday through Friday positions. (between 8:30-4 pm)
