About the role
Leland Management is seeking an onsite Community Association Manager for one of our communities in the Homosassa, FL area. Under minimal supervision, you will oversee and direct volunteer Association Inspectors with Association Deed Restrictions for the community, work closely with several committees of volunteers, and ensure all support and service aligns with the goals and objectives of the Association and the management agreement between the General Manager and the Association Board of Directors.
Responsibilities
- Meet and greet residents and visitors with compliance-related concerns, offering a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Work with the Deed Restrictions Committee Chair to determine compliance and non-compliance issues.
- Maintain knowledge of the Association's Architectural Guidelines, Deed Restrictions, Governing Documents, and current state and local laws governing homeowner associations.
- Periodically inspect all areas of the community for compliance and ensure Deed Restriction Inspectors consistently inspect their assigned zones.
- Confirm reported non-compliance and follow up with owners and inspectors as necessary.
- Prepare correspondence between the Deed Restriction Committee and homeowners.
- Work with the Common Area Committee Chair on inspections and report maintenance concerns to vendors and committee members.
- Track all violations through compliance or fine status and report common area maintenance concerns using Caliber software.
- Maintain a file of violations and serve as the Community Association’s coordinator for the Covenants Committee, including attending meetings and assisting with meeting-minute preparations, recording, tracking, and filing.
- Maintain a file of Common Area Reports and serve as the Community Association’s coordinator for the Common Area Committee, including attending meetings and assisting with meeting-minute preparations, recording, tracking, and filing.
- Prepare recommendations on compliance issues for the General Manager and appropriate board members and/or committees.
- Prepare correspondence between the Fining Committee and homeowners.
- Prepare all paperwork required for the Fining Committee, including compiling notices, tracking, related paperwork, resident communications, and resident assistance.
Requirements
- High school graduate and/or its equivalency; college course/degree preferred.
- Licensed Community Association Manager (CAM) preferred.
- Prior experience with homeowners' association CC&Rs preferred.
- Formal negotiations training is helpful.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle safely.

- Accountability for one’s own work and accuracy, as well as the work and accuracy of others.
- Knowledge of pertinent state and local regulations, laws, and ordinances.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Able to function and supervise effectively under stress and interruptions.
- Willingness to accept extreme deadline pressure and adapt to technological developments.
Physical Requirements
- Position involves sitting, standing, and/or movement throughout the day.
- Must be able to transport oneself around the office, community, and off-site destinations.
- Physical ability to sustain movements, especially to fingers, wrists, hands, and arms, for computer and office equipment use.
- Duties include stooping, bending, lifting, grasping, pulling, pushing, reaching, writing, and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with or without corrective lenses.
- Must be able to exchange and receive information over the telephone.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
