What’s Your Purpose?

The Community Assistant promotes the leasing and occupancy goals of the community while promoting resident satisfaction by acting as a liaison between residents and the staff.

What You Will Do

  • Makes safety a top priority. Ensures that the health, well-being, and safety of our team members, residents, contractors, and yourself is foremost in mind in conducting all business activities.

What Your Day Consists Of

  • Leasing the community:
    • Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork
    • Walk units to confirm readiness
    • Review lease and issue keys, gate cards, etc.
  • Positive resident satisfaction and retention:
    • Establish and maintain rapport with residents and act as a liaison between the residents and the staff
    • Plan and implement social events for residents on a regular basis
    • Aid residents with any issues or conflicts that may arise
    • Participate in on-call program for after-hours resident emergencies
  • Marketing the community:
    • Participate in weekly staff marketing meetings
    • Actively participate in the annual and semi-annual turn process
    • Aid with marketing needs of the community

What You Bring To Us

  • General knowledge of student housing property management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to adhere to a set and variable work schedule, including weekends and emergencies
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Able to maintain a professional and ethical atmosphere
  • Own a valid driver’s license with good driving record and current automobile insurance
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Basic internet, word processing, and spread sheet skills
  • Able to perform work responsibilities at locations other than home property
  • Able to travel within major metropolitan area and may be required to attend company functions in other cities
  • High school diploma or GED
  • CURRENT lease onsite or lease no later than the next applicable lease term
  • MUST be an enrolled, degree-seeking student
