Community Ambassador - Oklahoma City

About the role

The Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Community Ambassador role is a part-time position at Yelp, where you will be the face of Yelp in your region. Your responsibilities include attending local events, building relationships with local business owners and community organizers, conceptualizing, planning, and executing Yelp events, engaging with the local Yelp Elite Squad, and managing the day-to-day curation and growth of Yelp’s local social media presence.

Responsibilities

• Attend local events and build relationships with local business owners and community organizers.
• Conceptualize, plan, and execute Yelp events in your region.
• Engage with your local Yelp Elite squad online and offline, by hosting Yelp Elite events at local businesses and keeping them updated on the latest happenings in your city.
• Build Yelp collections for the Local Yelp newsletter, featuring weekly themes highlighting the best local businesses to discover.
• Manage the day-to-day curation and growth of Yelp’s local social media presence across Instagram and Twitter.

Requirements

• You consider yourself a local expert on all things Oklahoma City!
• You are willing to connect with business owners to forge relationships and inspire collaboration on behalf of Yelp.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You thrive in an autonomous environment.
• You live within 30 minutes of Oklahoma City city center.
• You are at least 21 years of age and have reliable transportation options.
• You have the bandwidth and flexibility to work a firm 19 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Skills

• Strong event planning, social media, and marketing skills.

Benefits

As a Community Ambassador, you will be eligible for a compensation range of $18.00 - $24.00 per hour.

Pay

Actual salary offered may vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, an individual's location and experience.

Schedule

Community Ambassadors are expected to work a firm 19 hours per week.
