Community Access Team Technician Lead

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and support to Community Access Team Technicians
  • Lead onboarding and training for new staff, including clinical workflows, safety protocols, and trauma-informed care practices
  • Support ongoing staff development, coaching, and performance feedback
  • Conduct regular check-ins and debriefs with staff, particularly following challenging or high-acuity situations
  • Foster a supportive, team-oriented work environment
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate site coverage
  • Respond to call-outs and coordinate coverage in real time
  • Fill in at clinic sites as needed to maintain continuity of care
  • Work collaboratively with the Program Director on hiring, staffing needs, and workforce planning
  • Collect, track, and submit required monthly program data to the city
  • Order and maintain clinical and operational supplies across all sites
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure sites are properly stocked and prepared
  • Support program compliance with documentation and reporting requirements
  • Provide direct support as a Community Access Team Technician when needed, including:
    • Take vital signs
    • Assist with triage and patient flow
    • Respond to emergencies
    • Support sedation monitoring
    • Ensure staff are delivering trauma-informed, patient-centered care
  • Schedule & Workflow Structure: Administrative & Leadership Focus: Attend program and leadership meetings
    Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams
    Complete administrative tasks (scheduling, supply ordering, reporting, onboarding coordination)
    Conduct site planning and operational oversight
  • Field & Staff Support: Provide on-site support to Outpatient Technicians
    Conduct site visits and check-ins
    Respond to call-outs and ensure coverage
    Lead real-time problem-solving and staff support
    Facilitate debriefs and on-the-job training
    Rotate on-call shifts and share with Director and other members of the leadership team
    Work entirety of the night shift on occasion
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years emergency response or Emergency Medical Services required
  • Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire)
  • Minimum of 1 year of management or supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working on an ambulance
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and respond to dynamic situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with unhoused or underserved populations
  • Training in crisis intervention and de-escalation
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
  • Experience with data tracking, reporting, or program coordination
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English and/or Haitian Creole/ English
  • Pych experience
  • Leadership and team development
  • Trauma-informed care and cultural humility
  • Crisis management and de-escalation
  • Operational planning and problem-solving
  • Flexibility and strong decision-making under pressure

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Combination of office/administrative work and on-site clinical support
  • Frequent travel between clinic/shelter sites
  • Fast-paced environment with exposure to medical and behavioral emergencies

Compensation and Benefits

  • The compensation increases based on years of experience and ranges from $32.91- $42.79 per hour

  • In addition, eligible employees will receive yearly increases, additional compensation of seven thousand five hundred added to your base hiring rate for demonstrated bilingual proficiency and the opportunity to work with local hospitals and community health centers
