About the Role

The role of Team Lead is crucial in ensuring manufacturing excellence at the plant floor level. This position is based at our Lindsay, NE facility, where we innovate and expand the world’s potential through advanced irrigation, infrastructure, and industrial technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with all compliance and regulatory requirements, including Life Safety Elements, and hold others accountable to do the same.
  • Coaching, Guiding, and Developing Teammates: Provide guidance and coaching to team members, help improve their skills, address performance gaps, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Driving Improved Results:
    • SAFETY: Ensure safety protocols are followed rigorously and promote a safety-first culture.
    • QUALITY: Monitor product quality, address deviations promptly, and collaborate with quality control teams.
    • SERVICE: Meet production targets while maintaining service levels, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • COST INITIATIVES: Optimize processes to reduce costs without compromising quality and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • SUPERVISION: Monitor work progress, ensure adherence to schedules, and address issues promptly.
    • LEADERSHIP: Inspire and motivate team members, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
    • COACHING AND TRAINING: Provide ongoing training, address performance gaps through constructive feedback.
  • Physical Inventory Management:
    • STORAGE: Ensure inventory items are stored appropriately (organized, labeled, and protected from damage).
    • ACCESSIBILITY: Ensure team members can access inventory items efficiently.
    • ACCURACY: Reconcile physical inventory with records and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist in accurate and timely inventory control management both physically and transactionally.
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure the best possible Safety, Quality, and Cost deliverables for Lindsay.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible to changing priorities.
  • Proven experience in analyzing information effectively and presenting results through reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines, organize, multitask, and prioritize.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Forklift license or willingness to obtain.
  • Blueprint reading.
