Communications Specialist Part-Time North Pinellas

Responsibilities

• Manages all incoming hospital calls efficiently and courteously.
• Directs calls to appropriate departments or individuals.
• Handles overhead paging for codes and general announcements.
• Provides exceptional customer service to all callers and visitors.
• Maintains accurate call logs and records.
• Monitors and reports any issues with the communication system.
• Aids in training new employees on PBX operations.
• Affirms timely and accurate relay of messages.
• Troubleshoots basic technical issues related to the PBX console.
• Communicates effectively with hospital staff and departments.

Requirements

• Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Internet skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to deal effectively with the public.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability and willingness to adapt to change.
• Strong writing and editorial skills.
• Working knowledge of graphic design principles and InDesign.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), flexibility and adaptability to change.
• Moderate travel required.

Skills

• Effective Multi-tasking skills [Preferred]
• Understanding of Photoshop [Preferred]

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• 2+ experience in a hospital setting. [Required]
