Communications Specialist I

Summary
This role is designed for identifying, developing, and managing various communications programs, projects and processes from beginning to end in support of the Communications team which works across all business functions to drive strategy, engage employees and support the mission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Write clear, concise, and engaging news stories under tight deadlines supporting strategic communication efforts along all channels.
- Collaborate enthusiastically with different interest areas within the organization to develop and bring to life unique content that generates actions and engagement.
- Edit documents covering a wide range of topics and styles, including employee news, social media, news releases, white papers, event collateral, etc.
- Plan and execute Integrated Supply Chain events, both internal and external.
- Support presentation strategy and development for senior leaders.
- Manage processes and facilitate relationships with all levels of leaders and employees in a complex organization.
- Plan, implement and measure the success of communications programs and events in support of company and organizational objectives.
- Drive content delivery through a variety of channels including all employee emails, intranet updates, digital signage, or external channels, including social media.
- Complete additional assignments that may develop with evolving business needs.
You Must Have
- Ability to travel up to 5 % of the time.
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or related field
- United States Citizenship
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

- 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Creative thinking and drive innovation across employee messages and channels.
- Detail-oriented, especially regarding validating clarity and accuracy of content/information.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Highly skilled in Associated Press Stylebook writing and editing.
- Previous Honeywell internship experience preferred.
