The Clearwater County Sheriffs Office is seeking dedicated Communication Specialists (Dispatchers) to serve as the vital link between the public and emergency responders. In this role, you'll be the voice of reassurance during emergencies and the hub of coordination for law enforcement, medical, and fire services.

Paid Training & Certification
- Attend POST Communications Academy in Meridian, Idaho (approx. 2 weeks) within first year

What Youll Do
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Dispatch law enforcement, medical, and all emergency services quickly and accurately
- Maintain detailed call records, radio logs, and reports
- Support jail communications and assist with clerical tasks
- Stay calm and organized in high-pressure, fast-paced situations
What Were Looking For
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused under stress
- Computer proficiency and accurate typing (45 WPM minimum)
- Team player with integrity and professionalism
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Pass background checks (no felony arrests; no illegal drug use in past 5 years)
- Typing test required
