Role Summary

The role is strictly focused on managing the brand, social media, and public relations for the CEO of Alteryx. Ideal candidates are current or recent tech journalists with strong media connections in the tech/software industry. The goal is to address unmet PR needs for the CEO, enabling them to secure organic media placements and interviews with outlets like CNBC or the Wall Street Journal.

Editorial and Operating Rhythm

  • Partner in running weekly editorial meetings with the Corporate Communications leader and corporate PR team, exclusively focused on the CEO.
  • Ensure tight coordination across PR, marketing, product, and (as needed) investor relations to align CEO visibility.
  • Risk review and rapid response readiness.

CEO Narrative and Positioning

  • Create the CEO’s proprietary narrative platform aligned to Alteryx strategy, differentiation, and market opportunities.
  • Translate company strategy into CEO-ready messaging, including crisp “so what” articulation for various audiences.
  • Develop and maintain a CEO message house, briefing library, and standing Q&A.

CEO Social and Executive Content Engine

  • Lead CEO media strategy and execution, targeting outlets and developing pitch calendars.
  • Secure and manage high-impact interviews, including TV appearances when relevant.
  • Oversee preparation for all CEO media moments, including talking points, interview briefs, mock Q&As, and on-the-spot support.
  • Own CEO social channels end-to-end, developing voice, cadence, and guardrails.
  • Convert CEO moments into high-performing posts, clips, and commentary.
  • Track performance and iterate with intention.

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $180,000–$200,000 in the United States.
  • Target annual bonus of 20% of base salary.
  • Equity.
