Communications Reporter with High Tech industry focus

Role Summary

The role is strictly focused on managing the brand, social media, and public relations for the CEO of Alteryx. Ideal candidates are current or recent tech journalists with strong media connections in the tech/software industry. The objective is to address unmet PR needs for the CEO, enabling secure organic media placements and interviews with outlets like CNBC or the Wall Street Journal.

Editorial and Operating Rhythm

• Partner in running weekly editorial meetings with the Corporate Communications leader and corporate PR team, focusing exclusively on the CEO.
• Develop and maintain an editorial calendar for the CEO.
• Coordinate with PR, marketing, product, and investor relations teams to ensure CEO visibility is aligned, timely, and credible.
• Conduct risk reviews and prepare rapid response strategies.

CEO Narrative and Positioning

• Create the CEO’s proprietary narrative platform aligned with Alteryx strategy, differentiation, and market opportunities.
• Translate company strategy into CEO-ready messaging, including “so what” articulations for various audiences.
• Maintain a CEO message house, briefing library, and standing Q&A.

CEO Social and Executive Content Engine

• Own CEO social channels (e.g., LinkedIn) end-to-end, developing CEO voice, cadence, and guardrails.
• Develop, publish, and manage CEO content; track performance and iterate.
• Create a system to turn interviews, keynotes, customer stories, and announcements into a steady stream of executive-grade content.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role in the United States is $180,000–$200,000. This role is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 20% of base salary, plus equity. Additional compensation includes:
