About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Director, Internal Communications, the Communications Program Manager leads or supports key initiatives including internal campaigns, stakeholder relationship management, intranet content development, digital screen and poster content management, and alignment of sponsorships and industry conference efforts. This role manages the weekly employee e-newsletter and functional announcements, designs communication templates, and ensures integration with external programs when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Supports or leads projects focused on internal employee engagement, such as annual leadership meetings, sustainability report planning, and internal messaging campaigns (e.g., Safety Week, Cybersecurity Awareness, Fraud Awareness, Voice of Resourcers survey).
  • Manages stakeholder relationships with corporate function partners (e.g., Internal Controls, Procurement, Human Resources) and provides communications best practices and data-driven recommendations.
  • Creates and distributes engaging content through channels like the intranet, dynamic screens, and the VNA Minute newsletter.
  • Trains employees on intranet page creation and development.
  • Develops and implements communication plans and timelines with the Senior Director, Internal Communications.
  • Tracks and reviews communications performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Supports company alliances (e.g., Professional Pickleball Association) and acts as a co-project manager for these initiatives.
  • Maintains knowledge of company policies, principles, and strategies, adhering to AP Style and the company’s style guide.
  • Brainstorms content ideas with internal stakeholders to align with company strategy and brand initiatives.
  • Responds to employee questions on company programs, policies, and communication tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field (essential).
  • 8+ years of experience in communications or writing development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with content development and storytelling experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with a strategic approach to communication planning.
  • Familiarity with technology applications for intranet posting, e-newsletter production, light video editing, content editing, and metric analysis.
  • Creative mindset and professional capacity.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and related business and communication tools.
  • Attention to detail.

Pay

$130,000 - $160,000 per year.
