Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and provide direct dial numbers as appropriate
- Respond to emergency calls and codes following established protocols
- Aid callers by using the paging or beeping systems as needed
- Utilize the CRMC Information Technology programs designated by the Manager—i.e. Patient Information System, E-mail, and Telecommunications software—proficiently
- Maintain protocols for alarms announced in the Telecommunications office
- Maintain required records and statistics
- Aid in the maintenance and care of department equipment and supplies
- Attend required hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services
- Demonstrate a commitment to flexible work scheduling when necessary to ensure patient care
