Communications Officer I (Dispatcher)

Full-time position in a 24/7 dispatch center. Shifts cover all hours of the day, including holidays and weekends.

Pay

Starting probationary wage is $24.87 per hour. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, employees will receive a $1.00 per hour wage increase.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some work experience in an office setting dealing with the public is preferred
• All completed applications must be accompanied by the results of a City of Laurel Typing Test (available from the Billings Job Service by calling (406) 652-3080 or (406) 655-6075, or by emailing billingsjsc@mt.gov)

Applicants who currently hold a Montana Intermediate or Advanced Public Safety Communications Certificate are encouraged to apply. Qualified applicants may be hired at the appropriate Communications Officer II or III classification based on their certification and qualifications.
