About the role
The Communications Manager at Mercy provides leadership and support in executing the organizations ministry communications strategy, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Create and influence Mercy's culture through consistent messages and a distinctive Mercy voice directed to co-workers, physicians, board members, and other internal stakeholders as well as external audiences.
- Manage various communication channels including online communications, newsletters, scripts, executive correspondence, reports, award nominations, videos, and other media.
- Collaborate with other Mercy departments to support specific communications projects and needs.
- Work with other members of the Integrated Marketing team to support shared strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in organizational communications.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a local and virtual team.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in digital marketing and social media management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
