About the role

The Communications Manager at Mercy provides leadership and support in executing the organizations ministry communications strategy, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Create and influence Mercy's culture through consistent messages and a distinctive Mercy voice directed to co-workers, physicians, board members, and other internal stakeholders as well as external audiences.
  • Manage various communication channels including online communications, newsletters, scripts, executive correspondence, reports, award nominations, videos, and other media.
  • Collaborate with other Mercy departments to support specific communications projects and needs.
  • Work with other members of the Integrated Marketing team to support shared strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational communications.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a local and virtual team.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Skills

  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
