Communications Clerk (CV2692-59) - Office of the CEO Division

What You’ll Do:

• Create and distribute organizational communications (newsletters, flyers, email campaigns, press releases, community announcements)
• Maintain and update social media platforms, website content, and communication calendars
• Respond to communication inquiries via phone, email, and social media in a professional, timely manner
• Support outreach efforts for community events, programs, and fundraising activities
• Draft and proofread correspondence, promotional materials, and internal communications
• Cook up printing, mailing, and distribution of outreach materials
• Maintain digital photo, video, and marketing files in an organized system
• Track communication metrics and assist with basic reporting
• Provide administrative support to development, outreach, and leadership staff
• Help ensure branding and messaging consistency across all platforms
• Aid in event preparation (registration, materials, signage, community engagement activities)
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred (communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or related field)
• 1–2 years of administrative, communications, customer service, or nonprofit experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, social media platforms, and basic website editing
• A strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• The ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners
• A commitment to VOADV’s mission and values of social services and community engagement
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (not required)
• The ability to lift over 40 lbs
• A willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends and travel locally for events/outreach as needed
