What You’ll Do:
- Create and distribute organizational communications (newsletters, flyers, email campaigns, press releases, community announcements)
- Maintain and update social media platforms, website content, and communication calendars
- Respond to communication inquiries via phone, email, and social media in a professional, timely manner
- Support outreach efforts for community events, programs, and fundraising activities
- Draft and proofread correspondence, promotional materials, and internal communications
- Cook up printing, mailing, and distribution of outreach materials
- Maintain digital photo, video, and marketing files in an organized system
- Track communication metrics and assist with basic reporting
- Provide administrative support to development, outreach, and leadership staff
- Help ensure branding and messaging consistency across all platforms
- Aid in event preparation (registration, materials, signage, community engagement activities)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred (communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or related field)
- 1–2 years of administrative, communications, customer service, or nonprofit experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, social media platforms, and basic website editing
- A strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- The ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners
- A commitment to VOADV’s mission and values of social services and community engagement
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (not required)
- The ability to lift over 40 lbs
- A willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends and travel locally for events/outreach as needed
