General Job Responsibilities
- Support the life and growth of the lieutenancy by communicating its impact and mission while connecting the 2,300 members and friends with the order, its events and the greater church.
- Ensure the seamless exchange of information across multiple platforms necessary for members and friends to fully participate in the life of the order and support its mission.
- Aid the executive director in the general administration of the office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the lieutenancy communication plan on an ongoing basis.
- Draft letters and other communications.
- Develop materials and maintain brand.
- Edit and proofread reports, letters and articles as needed.
- Gather and maintain photo content for materials.
- Manage mass email communications.
- Event updates & invitations.
- Member death notices.
- Fundraising solicitations.
- General membership information.
- Ongoing spiritual formation.
- Manage Social Media platforms.
- Post updates.
- Engage followers.
- Create and source content.
- Grow following.
- Manage web page.
- Update content.
- Improve usefulness & member interfaces.
- Produce membership newsletter (print and electronic).
- Create layout.
- Manage articles.
- Engage membership to contribute to content.
Affordances and Constraints
- Assist the executive director in the general administration of the office.
- Provide directions to staff in absence of executive director.
- Serve as point of contact for officers and board in absence of executive director.
Performance Standards
- Represents the Lieutenancy in a professional and positive manner.
- Prepares precise, well-written and articulate correspondence.
- Real-time content updating and timely communication of information across all platforms.
- Innovates processes and systems.
- Engages newest communication tools and follows trends.
