Communication Services Operator PRN/As Needed
Overview
Mercy is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team. This position will provide essential call handling services and support across various departments.
About the role
The primary responsibility of this role is to answer and route all incoming and outgoing calls, page physicians, obtain long distance information, and place calls for physicians, personnel, and families. Additionally, the role may serve as a Dispatcher for Safety and Security, Maintenance Departments, and other offsite locations.
Responsibilities
- Answer and route all incoming and outgoing calls
- Page physicians and other staff as needed
- Obtain long distance information and place calls as required
- Provide patient information as requested
- Receive class registration and physician referral calls
- Serve as Dispatcher for Safety and Security, Maintenance Departments, and other offsite locations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Telephone or customer service experience beneficial
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer software systems simultaneously
- Clear communication skills, both oral and written
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
