About the role

Tessell is seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with database management systems and a passion for innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain database solutions for various projects
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions meet business needs
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in database engineering or a related field
• Experience with at least one major database system (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Experience with database replication and disaster recovery strategies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience with database automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Bash)
