Responsibilities
- Cook up and execute on-site startup and commissioning activities for the systems and subsystems under your purview.
- Develop, maintain, and update the commissioning schedule and rolling lookahead plan to sync with project milestones and resource priorities.
- Inspect and regulate component and system test documentation to ensure they adhere to the design intent and contractual stipulations.
- Offer technical assistance during the installation, startup, and functional testing phases, swiftly identifying and addressing issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to guarantee commissioning readiness and system handover.
- Track progress and preemptively share schedule impacts, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all necessary documentation, test forms, and turnover packages are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Support the Commissioning Manager in keeping project status reporting and stakeholder coordination up-to-date.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering, or substantial hands-on experience in lieu thereof.
- At least three years of experience in startup and commissioning of industrial or water/wastewater systems.
- Deep understanding of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) and Systems Integration.
- Proficiency in project planning and scheduling, particularly with the utilization of lookahead tools and commissioning tracking systems.
- A solid grasp of construction processes, project coordination, and risk management.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with commissioning software tools and reporting platforms.
