Commissioning Engineer

For our client, a leader in the Energy & Utilities space, we are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. This role works across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and long-term technology capabilities.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align on project goals
• Review project documents to identify scope gaps and ensure project success
• Execute commissioning activities, managing scope and schedules
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage equipment suppliers and coordinate daily progress updates
• Conduct site visits to ensure efficient execution of commissioning plans
• Suggest improvements to commissioning processes based on lessons learned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in commissioning or systems engineering in renewable energy
• Hands-on experience with battery storage systems and medium voltage stations
• Expertise in equipment specification and procurement (inverters, transformers, switchgear)
• Solid understanding of regulatory standards (NEC/UL compliance)
• Proficient in MV Electrical Installations and related design topics (Arc Flash, Grounding)
• Strong time management skills for handling multiple projects efficiently

Pay

$110,000 – $160,000 annually
