For our client, we are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Energy & Utilities environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $160,000 annually Responsibilities Participate in cross-functional meetings to align on project goals Review project documents to identify scope gaps and ensure project success Execute commissioning activities, managing scope and schedules Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders Manage equipment suppliers and coordinate daily progress updates Conduct site visits to ensure efficient execution of commissioning plans Suggest improvements to commissioning processes based on lessons learned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field 5+ years of experience in commissioning or systems engineering in renewable energy Hands-on experience with battery storage systems and medium voltage stations Expertise in equipment specification and procurement (inverters, transformers, switchgear) Solid understanding of regulatory standards (NEC/UL compliance) Proficient in MV Electrical Installations and related design topics (Arc Flash, Grounding) Strong time management skills for handling multiple projects efficiently Benefits Opportunity to work on cutting-edge battery storage technologies Significant field experience, with over 75% time spent at project sites Engagement in value-engineering and process improvement initiatives Development of strategic relationships within the energy storage industry Involvement in diverse projects across various states (Texas, Arizona, California) Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
