About the role
Full-time position based in Blythewood, SC, focused on diagnostic and commissioning engineering for next-generation software-defined vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the concept scope, timelines, and technical validation phases as the core production representative within engineering system teams.
- Develop processes, specifications, and hands-on Python production code to implement advanced vehicle systems.
- Support triage during integration and drive issue resolution at the ECU level (e.g., ADAS, infotainment).
- Perform rigorous validation and system analysis before final program releases to ensure diagnostic, security, and architectural requirements are met.
- Evaluate and enhance vehicle commissioning concepts to improve quality, minimize budgets, and reduce production cycle times.
- Partner with R&D, the assembly shop floor, and Quality to define precise production requirements and meet organizational objectives.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering (automotive development and production planning experience considered).
- Proficiency in advanced Python programming.
- Knowledge of vehicle engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to set clear team direction, navigate fast-paced environments, and troubleshoot complex vehicle systems.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills, adept at aligning cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have
- Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
- Experience in non-automotive industries with complex diagnostic environments (e.g., heavy machinery, aerospace).
- Past experience managing vehicle launch phases and pre-series to series transitions.
Pay
Salary range: $90,000 – $100,000.
