Commissioning and Startup Test Engineer
Position Overview
Ensure support of Commissioning and startup (CSU) duties of installation configuration validation and Test planning, and document development.
Schedule and assist in planning of CSU execution activities, including sequence and resource requirements for assigned projects.
Prepare equipment test records and Pre-op testing binders.
Participate in construction to CSU turnover walkdowns.
Cook with Punchlists developed during testing.
Perform and monitor testing of equipment to assure conformance with requirements and compliance with test procedures.
Ensure work is undertaken safely, and activities are supported to meet the schedule and cost.
Qualifications
- ABET accredited BS degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
- 2+ years job-related experience with 1 year of nuclear experience
- Previous experience as a Commissioning and Startup Test Engineer
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA-70e
- Previous commercial or Department of Energy experience, with NQA-1 requirements supporting operational readiness reviews
Preferred
- Previous experience with Y-12 procedures, programs, and processes
Other Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security Clearance
Work Schedule
Typical work schedule will be Monday-Thursday, 10-hour days (4/10 schedule)
