Commissioning Agent

About the role

As a Commissioning Agent in our Nashville office, you will resolve commissioning challenges, develop and implement commissioning process delivery plans, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Resolve commissioning challenges and complete tasks assigned
• Develop and implement commissioning process delivery plans from information set forth in Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), plans and specification construction documents, as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research
• Apply personal judgment and wide variety of data and information to implement commissioning criteria
• Work well in a team environment, carry out appropriate follow-through with others, give and receive constructive feedback
• Communicate effectively with clients, project partners, and individuals at all levels in the organization
• Diagnose and solve construction and operational problems
• Understand and safely use test and measurement equipment and common tools

Requirements

• Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design, or construction engineering from an accredited technical institution or college; or commensurate design or construction experience
• General understanding of building systems across disciplines including fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/piping
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction
• Experience in computer operation and ability to learn engineering calculation programs, computer-aided drafting/BIM software for the purpose accessing and interpreting design requirements

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and state required vehicle insurance

• Commissioning certification with a nationally recognized professional body
