Commissioned Driver Helper
About the role
Labatt Food Service, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas is the tenth largest foodservice distributor in the nation. We operate in a high-intensity, high-transaction logistics environment, supplying 14,000 items to food-away-from-home customers in Texas and New Mexico from 5 distribution centers. Labatt wants its Commissioned drivers to have the safest fleet of trucks available. Trucks are equipped with the latest suite of radar and safety technology on the market, such as: adaptive braking and collision mitigation, lane departure warnings, and tire pressure monitoring on all tires. All our trucks are new and with automatic transmissions that will help with a smooth ride every day.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery of up to 1,400 cases by hand daily.
Qualifications
Entry Level - no experience required - we will help you start and build a career!
- Previous experience in warehouse worker, warehouse associate, delivery driver, package handler, order selector, manufacturing, factory worker, construction, general labor, laborer, landscaping, shipping and receiving, material handler, or any job where you work with your hands is a plus.
- Must have the desire to become a Route Driver.
- Must bring a valid New Mexico driver's license and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Applicable candidates must pass pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report, drug test, and physical.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, with dispatch times between 1:00 am and 4:00 am to finish (10-12 hour shift).
Pay
Average salary $700 - $840 weekly.
