Responsibilities
- Coincide with and execute warehouse operations and procedures to guarantee departmental effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring all product, supply, and equipment requirements are fulfilled throughout the venue.
- Support the planning and preparation process for events under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager, assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities to warehouse staff.
- Promote and actively participate in a team environment, prioritizing the highest levels of safety, organization, and sanitation in all warehousing and storage areas.
- Ensure the implementation and adherence to control procedures for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Coordinate all warehousing activities with the management team, receiving and distributing supplies and equipment in large centralized operations.
- Utilize storage systems, policies, and procedures to maximize space and storage area efficiency in warehousing operations.
- Submit reports regarding damage, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, returns to vendors, and contact vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, shortages, over shipments, or arrange for emergency shipments or requisitions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- High school degree.
- Two years' experience in the receipt, storage, or distribution of food and beverage, supplies, or equipment, including at least one year at the supervisory level in an entertainment or convention center venue.
- Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
- Ability to understand and communicate written and oral directions.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds in weight (boxes).
- Hours are often extended or irregular, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Follow and encourage adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including reporting unsafe work conditions and completing company-wide safety training and any additional job-specific safety training.
- Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) to the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day they are reported to you.
