Responsibilities

  • Lead the underwriting team to achieve profitable portfolio growth
  • Make final decisions on complex accounts and guide on challenging risks
  • Monitor team's workload and overall book results
  • Align pricing with risk quality across the portfolio
  • Build and strengthen agency relationships, including rehabilitating underperforming partners
  • Implement strategies to enhance profitability and address performance gaps
  • Education agents on products and systems to drive quality submissions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in insurance or business administration, or equivalent experience
  • Six years of commercial lines underwriting or related experience
  • Preferred insurance designations such as CPCU and CIC
  • Expertise in underwriting and risk analysis
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills

Pay

  • $100,085 – $152,122 annually
