About the role
The position will assist lead mechanic in performing routine commercial truck tire services/repairs, preventative maintenance, repairs on heavy equipment and commercial trucks.Responsibilities
- Assist lead mechanic in performing routine commercial truck tire services/repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and commercial trucks
- Repair diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical/electrical systems
- Work in the field and around the shop
- Occasional weekend work and overtime may be required
- Minimal overnight travel may be necessary
Requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, welding, pneumatics, and tire servicing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform tasks in a warehouse and field environment
