Commercial Title Officer - Hybrid
About the role
First American is seeking a Commercial Title Officer to join its growing team in Nashville. This role involves supporting the team in various tasks including research, title underwriting decisions, and customer interactions for commercial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze records such as liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and property surveys to determine ownership and legal restrictions and verify legal descriptions of properties and completeness of records.
- Properly price commitments, endorsements, policies, and guarantees using appropriate schedules of fees and charges.
- Review and approve a variety of documents including deeds, operating agreements, and corporate resolutions.
- Select appropriate write-ups for commitments and policies for both standard and extended coverage.
- In some regions/locations, consult with attorneys to review search packages and address matters requiring escalation.

- Flexible with the ability to multi-task and handle all aspects of title support.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education.
- 3-5 years of commercial title related experience.
Qualifications
While a college degree is not required, candidates should possess a strong academic foundation and be able to demonstrate relevant work experience in a similar role.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $28.09 - $37.44 per hour, based on a reasonable estimate of the base pay range at the time of posting. Pay is determined by a combination of factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
