Commercial Tire Technician

About the role

Best-One Tire & Service is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Commercial Tire Technician to install, rotate, balance, inspect, and repair commercial and large-equipment tires. You’ll assist with retreads, perform fleet inspections, and safely operate specialized tire and lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs on commercial and large-equipment tires (in shop or at customer location) following TIA Commercial guidelines
• Safely separate and reassemble tires onto wheels using specialized equipment
• Inspect casings for defects and locate/seal tire punctures (patch and plug)
• Prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly by scraping, grinding, or sandblasting
• Prepare retreads (discuss tread with customer, prepare work order, stage, and load on truck)
• Unload retreads from truck and stack in warehouse area
• Perform fleet inspections to assess tire needs and make recommendations
• Safely raise and lower vehicles with hydraulic or floor jacks
• Operate and maintain shop machinery, including safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks/lifts, air-powered tools, torque wrench, and diagnostic equipment

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with teammates and customers
