Commercial Strategy Director – Partners Deal Structuring and Deal Forums

About the role

The Commercial Strategy team aims to better align price with value, provide a platform to enable growth, create a more secure and stable revenue base and simplify the way we do business via the products we take to market and the Partners we engage with. The Commercial Strategy team is responsible for the commercial terms the business operates under. The team ensures alignment of all products and partner engagements including approval of any non-standard deals with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Team management of regional Deal Forums teams which include Partner and Redistribution Deal Forum and Outsource Service Provider Forum
  • Lead a regional Partner and Redistribution Deal Forum
  • Incorporate the Artificial Intelligence Deal Forum into the Partner Deal Forum process
  • Collaborate with team members to drive improvement of the overall process, including use of Artificial Intelligence to remove manual processes where able and training stakeholders
  • Responsible for working with non-standard deal terms, balancing risk versus reward and articulating the commercial terms under which we are willing to contract
  • Leading the operational process criteria for execution of deals approved at the PRDF
  • Leading the communication and training of the deal forum process and execution across the organization
  • Managing integration of new commercial framework rules and policies including the use of Artificial Intelligence at different strategic and operational levels
  • Managing reporting on Partner Deals including a monthly dashboard of approved deals and associated revenue opportunities

Requirements

College Degree plus 10 years relevant experience, legal background an advantage. Knowledge of D&A redistribution products, contracts, schedules and usage rights. Familiarity with D&A big rules and D&A Commercial Policies, Excellent commercial and operational understanding, including a good grasp of business value drivers. Experience working in a complex, matrix organization and with global high performing teams. Good understanding of the global financial markets. Proven ability to think deeply and quantitatively about business problems, providing well balanced assessment and solutions.

Professional approach with sufficient credibility and experience to gain the respect of internal stakeholders. Driving and managing relationships and teamwork: builds trust, credibility and maintains effective working relationships with a range of people at all levels in the organization, often in virtual teams spread across multiple time zones. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable presenting and escalating key issues and requests to senior stakeholders. A self-starter with the ability to balance competing priorities and manage time-sensitive projects. Service-oriented with the ability to provide fast, accurate support to our internal and external customers. Problem solver with good attention to detail and an ability to investigate and understand complex issues. Working knowledge of Sharepoint and skills required to perform detailed analysis using Excel. Detailed process oriented to support audit requirements of all deals executed through Partner Deal Forums. Legal background working with license grants an advantage.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
