About the role

L’Oréal is seeking a Director, Commerce Strategy to join our New York, NY headquarters. This role requires 10+ years of experience in commercial strategy, sales planning, business analytics, and consulting. The ideal candidate should have a strategic and analytical mindset, strong business acumen, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop commercial strategies and provide insights to the SVP Head of Commerce.
  • Formulate recommendations for performance and long-term business planning.
  • Prepare strategic performance presentations and reports for senior leadership.
  • Identify and support multi-channel and multi-branded initiatives.
  • Partner with Commerce leadership to address performance gaps and optimize sales strategies.
  • Monitor activation plans and KPIs, ensuring seamless tracking of results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate insights and align channel strategies.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related experience in commercial strategy, sales planning, business analytics, consulting.
  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex business data.
  • Effective and impactful communicator with strong storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience building scalable tools, templates, or reporting frameworks.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI), data visualization platforms, and performance reporting systems.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented with strong judgment, curiosity, and learning agility.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without requiring sponsorship.

Salary range: $138K-$200K
