  • Lead and perform commercial roofing work when solar projects are light.
  • Cookordinate with superintendents, project managers, customers, and trades on scope and scheduling.
  • Manage materials, equipment, weather monitoring, end-of-day protection, and tool/vehicle care.
  • Keep projects on schedule and within labor-hour targets while enforcing OSHA compliance.

Requirements

  • OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred); able to obtain required equipment-operation certifications.
  • Familiarity with solar PV systems, racking/mounting hardware, and array layouts, plus jobsite electrical safety practices.
  • Familiar with SMACNA standards and construction best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, site plans, PV/electrical layouts, and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Solid critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new systems.
  • Embody our values: Family Culture, JR Attitude (humble & teachable), Extreme Ownership, and a growth mindset.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years construction experience.
  • Minimum 2–3 years solar PV installation experience (commercial preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years roofing-specific experience, with the willingness to perform roofing work as needed.
  • Experience with solar racking/mounting systems and roofing materials including TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, metal roofing, and coping.

Skills

  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Familiarity with solar PV systems.
  • Familiarity with SMACNA standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Paid time off and parental leave.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Fringe Benefit sub-plan (where applicable).
  • Company-issued phone or phone stipend.

Schedule

  • Overtime and weekend work as the job requires.
