Commercial Service Technician-Commercial Kitchen Equipment & Building Systems

About the role

All Things Commercial is a fast-growing commercial facilities maintenance company serving restaurants, retail stores, and commercial properties throughout Texas. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Service Technician who can diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of commercial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of commercial equipment
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Service commercial cooking equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, steamers, and more
• Service commercial water heating equipment including tankless and conventional water heaters
• Perform preventative maintenance and descaling of tankless water heaters
• Troubleshoot ignition systems, gas controls, and electrical components
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
• Write detailed service reports and documentation
• Use mobile devices to complete work orders, upload photos, and communicate with the office
• Work safely and independently with minimal supervision
• Enjoy solving difficult problems and learning new equipment
• Willing to work overtime and occasional evening or emergency calls

Requirements

• Experience repairing commercial hot-side kitchen equipment
• Experience servicing tankless water heaters and conventional water heaters
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and gas troubleshooting skills
• Can diagnose problems efficiently instead of simply replacing parts
• Reads wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable lifting up to 75 pounds and working in commercial environments
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Preferred experience with manufacturers such as Vulcan, Garland, South Bend, Frymaster, Pitco, Blodgett, Cleveland, Rational, Alto-Shaam, Hatco, Duke, and similar commercial equipment
