Commercial Sales Specialist - SDI - Grand Rapids

Position Summary

The Commercial Sales Specialist plays a key role in a cross-functional team, focusing on driving commercial execution and improvement within the business unit, particularly in new business development. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in proposal preparation, pricing strategies, contract negotiation, and customer relationship management.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides execution support for the Business Unit [SDI], Sales, and Marketing Strategy.
• Is the point of contact for strategic business development of in-house accounts.
• Affords assistance in managing the outside representative team.
• Maintains Amendments and Changes to Long Term Agreements.
• Affords assistance in improving the commercial performance of the BU.
• Collaborates effectively with internal and external teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Builds and maintains a strong pipeline for potential customers.
• Identifies and pursues commercial sales opportunities.
• Oversees, monitors account performance, purchasing trends, and service needs.

Success Measures

• Achieve annual sales revenue targets.
• Maintain a strong, accurate pipeline and meet forecasting expectations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service measured by retention and satisfaction scores.
• Drive strategic growth through new opportunities, account expansion, and market insight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, marketing or related field).
• 1-3 years of prior sales experience preferred.
• CRM experience and mastery of Microsoft Office Suite.

Combination of Office, Field and Customer Facing Work. Professional and business casual attire required.
