Commercial Sales Specialist - SDI - Grand Rapids
Position Summary
The Commercial Sales Specialist plays a key role in a cross-functional team, focusing on driving commercial execution and improvement within the business unit, particularly in new business development. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in proposal preparation, pricing strategies, contract negotiation, and customer relationship management.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides execution support for the Business Unit [SDI], Sales, and Marketing Strategy.
- Is the point of contact for strategic business development of in-house accounts.
- Affords assistance in managing the outside representative team.
- Maintains Amendments and Changes to Long Term Agreements.
- Affords assistance in improving the commercial performance of the BU.
- Collaborates effectively with internal and external teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Builds and maintains a strong pipeline for potential customers.
- Identifies and pursues commercial sales opportunities.
- Oversees, monitors account performance, purchasing trends, and service needs.
Success Measures
- Achieve annual sales revenue targets.
- Maintain a strong, accurate pipeline and meet forecasting expectations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service measured by retention and satisfaction scores.
- Drive strategic growth through new opportunities, account expansion, and market insight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, marketing or related field).
- 1-3 years of prior sales experience preferred.
- CRM experience and mastery of Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions
Combination of Office, Field and Customer Facing Work. Professional and business casual attire required.
