We are seeking a Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of commercial roof project installations from beginning to end, coordinating closely with all parties involved.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to foremen—fostering safety, teamwork, and discipline—resulting in efficient and professional roof system installation.
- Represent the company professionally in all dealings with customers, personnel, and the public.
- Manage all aspects of production to meet company and project goals.
- Supervise foremen to lead safe and efficient roof system installations.
- Oversee field staff and/or sub-contractors, assisting with crew leadership as required.
- Conduct or participate in safety audits and ensure subcontractor compliance with company expectations, including safety requirements and weekly toolbox talks.
- Resolve complaints and grievances; assist with discipline when necessary.
- Ensure production and quality goals, maintaining records of efforts through photographs and reporting tools.
- Maintain understanding of contract information for jobs.
- Track labor hours and production against stated goals, including verifying subcontractor time records.
- Schedule materials, equipment, and deliveries, using inventoried materials efficiently.
- Monitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages, and order materials as needed.
- Coordinate, supervise, and manage subcontractors.
- Monitor quality of installations, including destructive testing (e.g., cutting into hand welds) to ensure proper techniques and crew training.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, provide explanations, and review progress.
- Schedule daily or weekly customer contact to discuss outstanding issues.
- Meet with customers to verify satisfaction with work and billing; deliver warranties.
- Review plans and sites, delegate crews, and perform pre-job planning, including creating site-specific safety plans.
- Ensure crews have necessary information and instructions; escalate missing information to the Operations Manager.
- Submit reports and paperwork on time, including Daily Project Reports and expense reports.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, accidents, and thefts; provide relevant documentation to the office.
- Deliver all documentation to the office in a timely manner.
- Review final paperwork to ensure change orders are reflected and billed.
- Participate in manufacturer final inspections and regular review meetings with project managers.
- Demonstrate commitment to professional development and teamwork.
- Assist Project Managers with contractual proposals, contracts, and purchase orders.
- Work closely with permit expeditors, project managers, design teams, and consultants.
- Maintain relationships with outside consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain and update project management/development tracking tools, including Salesforce.
- Track and update Salesforce software for project information in a timely manner.
- Receive, organize, and maintain all construction documents.
- Perform site take-offs and communicate information to Estimating clearly and accurately.
- Travel as required for job sites.
Requirements
- Five years of commercial roofing experience working directly for a Commercial Roofing Contractor.
- Experience with roof installation of large retail facilities.
- Experience managing roofing crews and roofing subcontractors.
- Experience with a wide range of commercial roofing systems and roofing manufacturers.
- Ability to read and understand specifications and blueprints.
- Basic computer skills—Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Willingness to be trained and use company software.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and/or construction project management software.
