About the role
Baker Roofing Company is seeking a Commercial Roofing Service Foreman to lead and supervise our roofing crews. This position requires extensive experience in commercial roofing and strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review job files and shop drawings with the manager
- Coordinate safety and equipment needs with the manager
- Supervise and support the crew on safety, quality, and labor production
- Maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping
- Plan ahead and monitor material needs to avoid shortages
- Monitor and maintain on-site equipment
- Submit daily job reports, field progress problems, and timesheets
- Ensure overall quality control of each job
- Train and coach other employees
- Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards
- Follow company safety policies and procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial roofing experience
- High School/G.E.D. preferred
- Pass a background check and have high security clearance
- Ability to read shop drawings, calculate labor projections, and layout roofs
- Knowledge of safety techniques and procedures
- Ability to read and use tools such as tape measures, mark distances, and install flashing
- Interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to organize, plan, and execute work assignments
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to fulfill paperwork requirements
