About the role

Baker Roofing Company is seeking a Commercial Roofing Service Foreman to lead and supervise our roofing crews. This position requires extensive experience in commercial roofing and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review job files and shop drawings with the manager
  • Coordinate safety and equipment needs with the manager
  • Supervise and support the crew on safety, quality, and labor production
  • Maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping
  • Plan ahead and monitor material needs to avoid shortages
  • Monitor and maintain on-site equipment
  • Submit daily job reports, field progress problems, and timesheets
  • Ensure overall quality control of each job
  • Train and coach other employees
  • Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial roofing experience
  • High School/G.E.D. preferred
  • Pass a background check and have high security clearance
  • Ability to read shop drawings, calculate labor projections, and layout roofs
  • Knowledge of safety techniques and procedures
  • Ability to read and use tools such as tape measures, mark distances, and install flashing
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to organize, plan, and execute work assignments
  • Ability to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to fulfill paperwork requirements
