Salary Range
Salary Range: $65,000 to $85,000
This is a full time travel position, with a rotation cycle of 30 days on-site and 5 days off. Candidates who are not able to travel full time will not be considered for the position.
Assistant Superintendent Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Superintendent or Senior Superintendent with daily jobsite operations from mobilization through closeout.
- Support coordination of crews, subcontractors, and daily work plans.
- Monitor production progress and help ensure daily and weekly goals are met.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety policies at all times.
- Aid in completing daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
- Ensure proper PPE use and fall protection compliance.
- Report and help correct safety issues immediately.
- Assist with inspections to ensure work meets specifications and manufacturer standards.
- Document work progress with photos and reporting tools (Slack, Procore, etc.).
- Identify quality issues and escalate to Superintendent.
- Help supervise field crews and trade partners under direction.
- Ensure crews understand scope, expectations, and company standards.
- Assist with timekeeping and workforce tracking.
- Verify material deliveries, quantities, and staging.
- Report damaged or missing materials to leadership.
- Help maintain organization and accountability of tools and equipment.
- Aid in daily reports, logs, and documentation.
- Communicate updates to the Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, and Project Manager.
- Participate in jobsite meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of commercial roofing experience preferred
- Basic understanding of roofing systems and jobsite operations
- Must be willing to learn, take direction, and grow within the company
- Previous OSHA 30 certification a plus, will obtain during in-office training
- Familiarity with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) is a plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and walk on commercial rooftops safely
- Extended hours and weekend work may be required based on project demands

Minimum Employment Requirements
- Clear a National, State, and Local Background Check
- 3-Year Motor Vehicle Record meeting standards to drive company vehicles
- Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen & complete Post Hire fit for duty physical
- Pass the 90-day introductory period
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours: Must be flexible
Travel
Travel is expected for this position. A clean driving record verified by a MVR (Motor Vehicle Record check) is required to drive for the company.
