About the role
The Commercial Banking team actively calls on businesses with annual revenue between $50MM and $500MM, offering a suite of products and services to serve companies of this size. As the Relationship Manager, you will develop new commercial business while maintaining a portfolio, with a focus on cross-selling to current and prospective clients.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a conduit for all product lines, matching client needs with appropriate products.
- Grow revenue by prospecting new business and making referrals as directed by senior management.
- Maintain and expand existing customer relationships through regular outreach to ensure excellent client relations and account servicing.
- Manage loan and portfolio credit quality.
- Negotiate credit arrangements and prepare credit memoranda and supporting documentation for loan committee presentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 2 years of sales experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of credit and credit underwriting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of bank products, services, and bank operations.
- Ability to be a self-starter and show initiative.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage time effectively to balance new and existing relationships to meet goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of commercial sales experience.
- Ability to prospect and network at various levels within a company.
Pay
Compensation range: $81,864 – $120,406. The posted range represents UMB’s good faith and reasonable estimate based on its budget and expectations for the starting pay for this role. Actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
