About the role
Prestigious national law firm is seeking a commercial real estate legal assistant to support the real estate group within a growing legal practice. This role will provide hands-on legal and administrative support across a variety of commercial real estate, within a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support including document preparation, scheduling, filing, correspondence, and matter organization.
- Document Management: Prepare, revise, proofread, and manage legal documents, agreements, applications, and filings related to real estate matters.
- Calendar & Deadline Coordination: Manage attorney calendars, track deadlines, coordinate meetings, and ensure timely completion of legal and administrative deliverables.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, municipalities, court personnel, and external stakeholders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Matter Coordination: Support a variety of commercial real estate, and property-related legal matters within a fast-paced practice environment.
- Office & Operational Support: Maintain organized legal files, support billing and expense processes, and assist with general office and operational tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree, or related legal education is required.
- 5+ years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience within a law firm or real estate legal environment is required.
- Exposure to real estate law is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel is required, while experience with legal document management systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, professionalism, communication abilities, attention to detail, discretion, multitasking capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively within a high-volume legal practice are required.
