Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial painting projects
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Work directly with General Contractors, owners, architects, and project teams
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
- Assist with value engineering and scope reviews
- Clock with project management during project turnover
- Maintain bid schedules and proposal deadlines
- Support business development and cultivate relationships with customers and industry partners
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial painting estimating experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial painting systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience estimating projects ranging from $50,000 to $10+ million
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally
