Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business, develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers including general contractors, subcontractors, developers, and property managers
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Manage and grow book of commercial accounts
- Promote and sell building materials and related products to meet sales and margin goals
- Work closely with inside sales, estimating, purchasing, and operations to support customer projects from bid to completion
- Conduct regular jobsite visits and customer meetings
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and new product offerings
Qualifications
- Proven successful track record of outside Business to Business sales experience (building materials or construction industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and materials
- Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
