Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize inventory allocation across multiple facilities.
- Assign inventory to contracts, sales orders, and customer commitments based on material specifications, quality, logistics, and commercial priorities.
- Maintain inventory levels, production forecasts, sales bookings, and shipment schedules to meet customer commitments.
- Identify inventory shortages, surpluses, risks, and opportunities and develop proactive solutions.
- Analyze inventory performance and recommend strategies to improve turnover and profitability.
- Collaborate with Sales, Commercial, Logistics, Operations, and Administrative teams to coordinate inventory allocation and customer deliveries.
- Track allocation priorities, shipment schedules, inventory availability, and customer requirements.
- Create reports and dashboards to support inventory management, commercial planning, and business performance.
- Seek out process improvement opportunities to enhance planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Support business continuity through process documentation and cross-functional knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of metals, including material grades, specifications, and commercial applications.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Leadership experience or the ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the scrap metal recycling industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience in commercial operations, inventory management, supply chain, logistics, commodity trading, or industrial manufacturing.
- Experience with inventory allocation, sales planning, contract fulfillment, shipment coordination, and stock analysis.
- Exposure to non-ferrous metals, such as copper, brass, and aluminum, is highly desirable.
- Experience working with ERP systems, reporting tools, and process automation initiatives.
Pay
$75,000 - $90,000 per year
