Commercial Onboarding Senior Officer

About the role

The Commercial Onboarding Senior Officer will play a critical role in supporting frontline Commercial Relationship Managers with the onboarding and deposit account opening process, with an emphasis on delivering exceptional customer experiences while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the onboarding process for new commercial clients, including Know Your Customer (KYC) validation and full due diligence in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Open and set up new deposit accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to internal policies and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers and internal partners to ensure a seamless and efficient onboarding experience.
• Respond to client requests in a timely, professional, and solutions-oriented manner.
• Aid with project implementation and process improvement initiatives, providing feedback and supporting testing, documentation, and rollout of new tools, systems, or procedures.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls to mitigate risk.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education/Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in business or related areas preferred
• Prior Experience: 5+ years Commercial Banking
• Technical Skills: Advanced in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Strong knowledge of deposit account opening, onboarding processes, and regulatory compliance requirements (including KYC and CIP); Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and maintain accuracy under pressure; Highly organized with excellent time management skills to balance multiple priorities and deadlines; Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues; Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $90,000 annually + bonus + benefits. Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location. Exact compensation may vary based on your skills and experience.
