Commercial Loan Underwriter

Senior Commercial Loan Underwriter is responsible for leading the analysis and underwriting of complex commercial credit requests, including CRE, C&I, leveraged finance, and asset-based lending. Key Responsibilities Assess cash flow, collateral, and borrowing bases to support sound lending decisions.Recommend appropriate loan structures and terms based on risk analysis.Partner with relationship managers to support client proposals and documentation.Monitor ongoing credit quality by reviewing financial performance and credit trends.Review financial statements and evaluate covenant compliance.Contribute underwriting insights in credit committee discussions.Mentor and guide junior analysts, strengthening team underwriting capabilities. Qualifications & Skills Strong expertise in commercial lending underwriting and credit risk evaluation.Proficiency in collateral, borrowing base, and cash flow analysis.Ability to evaluate complex financials and covenant structures.Excellent judgment, analytical skills, and communication for committee and client support.Leadership skills with experience mentoring others.
