Duties And Responsibilities
- Establish and sustain successful business member relationships that maximize: the sales and revenue of loans, commercial deposits, and products/services from the credit union.
- Develop and negotiate terms of credit, including interest rates, loan structure, and collateral requirements, ensuring alignment with both the borrower’s needs and the credit union’s risk appetite.
- Independently and strategically target the local business market to build awareness, brand image, credibility and new business for the credit union that encompasses all of the financial services we offer.
- Utilize discretion and independent judgment to research and recommend products and services which will strengthen and increase business penetration as well as presence in the credit union’s community.
- Independently create and engage in networking opportunities by scheduling and coordinating business appointments and visits. Participation in community and professional organizations is encouraged to increase the credit union’s visibility and create new business opportunities.
- Prepare weekly & monthly progress reports.
- Conduct seminars for existing and prospective business members.
- Contribute to efficient credit union operations by performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Two to five years financial or business lending experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must be self-directed, motivated, organized, detail oriented and possess excellent oral & written presentation skills.
- Must have a demonstrable record in establishing new business lending/banking relationships and achieving annual goals.
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and in a team environment.
- Must be proficient in analyzing and reporting on financial data, both verbally and in written form, is essential.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
