Commercial Loan Officer

About the role

The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for managing and servicing loans involving significant amounts of both secured and unsecured loans, handling both large and small credits, and promoting and cross-selling Bank's services.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and manages existing credit relationships, including note renewals, reviewing and analyzing financial statements, collateral valuations, credit analysis, cash flow analysis, delinquency reporting, and covenant monitoring.
• Negotiates loan proposals, analyzes and evaluates credit requests, writes loan commitments, recommends credit grades, and prepares loan memos/presentations for credit approval.
• Develops new business by identifying and calling on existing or prospective customers, promoting and cross-selling Bank’s services, and collaborating with Bank operations to provide quality service.
• Facilitates customer issues within operational areas of BancFirst Mid-Del and serves as a primary liaison for financial services.
• Participates in community and professional activities to enhance Bank’s image and develop new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of commercial lending practices.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Demonstrated capacity to sell products/services within the financial services industry.
• Extensive understanding of credit underwriting, documentation, loan policy, and regulations.
• Specialized knowledge of the Oklahoma City market.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive verbal and written reports and presentations.
• Efficient computer skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications, and financial analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial lending for a commercial bank.
